Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Accountant monitors, and tracks costs associated with production routing, raw materials and finished goods for all company divisions.
This position is also responsible for maintaining the alcohol drawback records and filing quarterly returns.
Working closely with the production, planning & analysis, demand planning and SAP teams, this position will be also be the person responsible for the SAP Product Costing module.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the SAP Product Costing module Maintain alcohol drawback records and file quarterly TTB drawback returns.
Prepare annual SDA reporting to TTB Manage consignment inventory, including periodic physical inventories and audits Ensure new materials are costed and monitor costs for all materials Monitor the costs of production for Citrus Center production campaigns for citrus oils and co-products Review key manufacturing and inventory general ledger accounts Develop and report on manufacturing KPI's, inventory usage and expiring inventory Analyze and report on key manufacturing costs (utilities, supplies, packaging, etc.
) Analyze and prepare monthly/quarterly reserve for inventory obsolesence, including journal entry preparation Analyze and prepare monthly/quarterly LCM adjustment, including journal entry preparation Tolling Business support, including preparing pricing spreadsheet, inventory analysis, calculating finished goods value, analyses monthly cost of sales, and quarterly raw material forecasting Provide audit support for physical inventories Perform other assignments as determined by the Controller or VP of Finance.
Educational
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years demonstrated experience working in cost accounting, preferably in process manufacturing, along with cost reporting experience, and cross team collaboration.
Previous experience with alcohol drawback is a strong plus.
Job Costing experience is a strong plus.
Competencies:
Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO, Product Costing and Material Ledger modules are required.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
Microsoft Access skills are a plus.
Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, plus excellent organization/project management skills are required.
This position requires patience, team work, and the ability to lead.
