As a member of quality engineering, this lead engineer will work closely with product management, project management, and development members. You would be spearheading the performance testing of cutting-edge Crestron products in the Digital Media domain like DM-NVX, DM-NVX-Director, and DMPS3. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience in scalability testing, end-to-end load testing, robustness testing, and managing the required technical infrastructure. You enjoy keeping your technical skills current and contribute to the optimization of performance testing using different tools and automation as necessary. You regularly participate in deep dive troubleshooting exercises and lead technical discussions with the QE, Product Management, and Development teams to define the test strategy, plan, and test cases for performance testing. Ultimately, the Lead Quality Engineer is responsible for delivering a high-quality product on schedule and demonstrating the same via defined metrics RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review and provide feedback on technical documents like requirements, product specifications, and technical design documents. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimation, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities. Design, develop and execute performance test cases. Optimize the performance testing using various tools and automation as applicable. Identify, record, and document product issues in the bug tracking system. Liaise with the internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements. Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies. Communicate status to product stakeholders regularly. QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills Thorough understanding of test processes and test methodologies. The ability to multitask and manage multiple large-scale projects is critical. Experience in embedded system testing. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality software to production within tight schedules. Ability to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and timelines. Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality. Exceptional written and verbal skills. Excellent team player with a consistently positive attitude and collaborative approach to problem solving, options analysis and continuous improvement of process, team, and systems. Technical Skills Experience in IP and networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPV4/IPV6, VLAN, IGMP, DHCP, Active Directory) is required. Experience in audio and video testing is required. Knowledge of Automation technologies like Python, Selenium, PowerShell experience is preferred. A thorough understanding of test processes and test methodologies including knowledge and experience with test automation, concepts, theories, practices, and procedures, and the commitment to product excellence and quality is required. Experience in providing and presenting project status reports through the development cycle and knowledge of the complete life cycle of the R&D development process is preferred. Experience with defect tracking systems, test management systems, and software revision control is required. Required Experience Master or Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication or Electrical/Electronic or Computer science. 10
